Called my work asking to speak to the business owner about leads generating. I said to send us an email as none of our management are office based and the guy said ok. Then immediately after I hung up the phone, the same number called back again and a different guy was on the line asking for the business owner again. They drop the call as soon as you pick uip the phone, obviously they want you to call back at your expense. Probably a call centre who have to keep their call numbers up to meet a contract so they call - a call is registered and they get paid whether or not there s a conversation.
