When I answered their was no response but I could hear background noise, presumable a call centre, before they hung up after a few seconds

At first I thought they were legit saying they were Homeserve to discuss Warranties on my white goods. They knew my full name, address details, and obviously had my phone number, but when the conversation turned to my financial details.......smelt a rat! Told the caller I would phone back later, so LIAM as he called himself, gave me a Freephone Number: 0800 622 6777, Ext 291, and ask for Liam. 0800 622 6777 is the phone number of Tyneside Autoparc, Tyne And Wear, Newcastle upon Tyne, Sandy Lane, NE3 5HE.

Called by this number today. Rang and rang but stopped as I picked up. 1471 gave me the correct number but "Not Recognized" when I dialed it.

Had five calls this week from these creeps. One call was answered and they wanted to speak to my wife in an Asian male voice. I told then to get lost. One was a garbled two second answer phone message. Three calls were creepily dead silent. Sod off whoever you are!!!!!! Reply ! 12

I was phoned today saying from a young chap claiming I was going to receive a letter tomorrow informing me of a PPI refund, and somehow my bank suddenly owes me money back. I asked this chap which bank may owe me this money, he said it could be from one of several banks which I have accounts with, which he just named several banks off a list. Another accident claim call, different this time though as it was a recorded message designed to sound polite and conversational like a live caller. Company name was stated but too quickly and barely audibly. States they have information of involvement in an accident and asks to confirm whether you have had an accident in last 3 years. Cut off when incorrect responses given!

Called and asked my name as soon as I confirmed he said "ok" and hung up. Was of foreign nationality.

i answered this number and the caller said he was from orange calling about my upgrade, I put him off and he called twice more. I talked about my upgrade, he new all my details and gave his opinion on suitable mobiles for me - even advising on my usage and a better phone for me because of it. I contacted orange the day after and they had no record of my call, upgrade or anything about this ? a waste of time and effort if this was a crank call, not sure of the purpose for the scammer but will be checking m
