Repeatedly called from this number which is local to where I live. Answered today to a cheery man calling from Ambassador in relation to an accident I have recently had. I sarcastically asked when this was and he confidently said August 2015 (I, luckily, have had no accidents) When I told him this he sounded confused before cutting the line. Total scam from somewhere in Ladybank/Cupar region.

Automated call - Didn't answer, then got a 5s voicemail of a Liverpool accent (phone had auto-identified dialling code as Liverpool) saying "ah right, OK, well we'll take you off our list then". I suspect this was an automated response after my voicemail "answered" to say not available, leave your message etc. and voicemail recorded tail end of the response. Crafty.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls - surveys, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8438707xxx range... People don't fall for it. Did someone answer any number of this range?
