Automated voice saying it's regarding a transaction on my Amazon account, order for over 1k using the card that has been used recently. It was asking me to press 1 if it is me placing the order or 2 if it's not. Obviously I hang up. Clearly a scam.

SCAM / SPAM Phoned claiming that my name is being used in a tax fraud and that I need to press 1 straight away and that if I don't the police will be called and I will be arrested.
I am sick to death of the daily calls from this number all times of day no message left etc I have found out it is a sky number based in Cardiff but do not answer or call back getting really sick of it now need to find out how to block this number it s a nuisance especially as I am already with sky! Not by choice but automatically transferred from O2.

I have searched this number on another site and there have been many searches and reports. The calls are hostile. When information not given they swear and terminate the call. I had call from this number today and answer machine picked up. No message. I m glad I didn t take the call as would have been upset at the hostility. Scam or fishing. They called to say I had a minor accident in the last 2.5 years. When I asked what vehicle it was, they said they couldn t tell me because of data protection. I enjoy keeping them on the line while they waste their own time. Sometimes I tell them I m just getting the details and leave them hanging on. It stops them calling anyone else for a while until they get fed up.
An asian sounding gentleman rang from this number, said has name was Daniel, and that he would only take up a minute of my time, and then wouldn t bother me again. He knew my name and postcode. I asked what it was all about, as I wouldn t give any information until then. He hung up.
