Called saying someone had gained access to my computer and was using it for illegal purposes. Couldn t hear the caller properly and they got frustrated and hung up.

Axa Insurance; I received a call from this number following an enquiry I had made for health insurance. This was from their sales team.

This is a company called Our Insurance Vault based in Chorley Lancs so dont know why they using a Peterborough number. It is run bt James and Natasha Slater who also own another insurance company called ST and R lTD

Ambulance chasing accident claim call illegally made to TPS listed number. Called by this number today. Rang and rang but stopped as I picked up. 1471 gave me the correct number but "Not Recognized" when I dialed it.

Had a bunch of missed calls from this number. When I finally managed to answer, the person on the other line just said "Goodbye" and the call got disconnected. Come to think of it, it sounded more like a robo-voice than an actual human being. Probably was some computer-generated call. I just wonder what they were trying to accomplish with it?!

I received a call from this number today, but as soon as I answered they hung up.

Call arrived whilst I was in the republic of Moldova. I work with victims of child-trafficking in that region and my number is only used for emergencies from agencies relating to the subject. Consequently, I tried returning the call with several connections, but the call eventually dropped out. When I returned home discovered I still had to pay for the calls at a rate of GBP£1.27 per connection, plus the same cost for having answered the incoming call! Caveat Emptor!

Indian caller pretending that his name was Nigel and that he was from The call barring service . Knew surname of account holder and a partially correct address for the property (i.e. they d got the address from an address database, and not from us). Started a spiel about nuisance calls and how they want to get everyone onto the new government service - at which point I hung up on the shyster.
