SCAM - "John" from "BT" called to help me sort out the issues with our router............he also called me from 01617983874 earlier in the day. When I asked him for a number that I could call him back on he tried to put me through to his supervisor and the phone went dead.

I was phoned today saying from a young chap claiming I was going to receive a letter tomorrow informing me of a PPI refund, and somehow my bank suddenly owes me money back. I asked this chap which bank may owe me this money, he said it could be from one of several banks which I have accounts with, which he just named several banks off a list. SCAM / SPAM Number called at 2pm saying it was the income tax department and I've been caught doing tax fraud and I should press 1 to speak to the agent dealing with my case. If I don't press 1 I will be arrested soon. Hung up and searched but can't find a record of the number. I've committed no fraud so not worried but people shouldn't receive these calls.
