SCAM. The caller was a woman claiming to be based in Cape Town, South Africa. She further claimed to be from the energy company – E.ON – that supplies me with electricity. She knew or guessed my first name, and asked for confirmation of details of my name and mailing address. However, she did NOT ask for – nor did she receive – my e˗mail address, my account number, or any bank or credit card or debit card details. Furthermore, she did not ask for immediate payment. Have nothing to do with this number.

Caller said name was Mick from Petronagroup. Called from London 02080973588. Tried to get me to download Anydesk App (giving them remote access). I said no to that! My opinion DON'T GET INVOLVED WITH PETRONAGROUP - they lost my money (£250 and were forever asking for more funds to invest). Then they closed my account so that I could no longer Log in. I have been arguing with Fabio, Martin at Petronagroup via WhatsApp for refund and believe this a scam that I will now report to ActionFraud.

Asked for me by my first name, (the cheek of it). Then claimed to be from social housing repair, as we all know there is no such company (a legit one anyway). Furthermore, I know that my landlord do not deal with anyone that would just cold call tenants, especially one that uses an asian call center. Possible SCAM/SPAM? Asked for a man who I regularly get phone calls for (we must have a similar phone number). Talking about a potential claim for reimbursement following car finance taken out 10-12 years ago. Didn't feel right as I said I did not know the person they were after and they went on to give me what felt like fairly personal information. The man in question seems to be wanted by a lot of solicitors - maybe he's a wrongun - and that phonecall was a front to get access to him?
