But I was right; this cretin is from Londonistan where 4 out of five residents are from foreign descent. I know of no one in London so why ring me if it s not to try and con money out of me. SCAM Fraud A computer voice informed me that HMRC was going to arrest me if I didn't press "1" to connect to them. Not sure what would have happened if I had followed the instructions, but this is a nasty fraud all the same.

Automated call to start, saying that my subscription to Amazon will auto renew at £79, and to press 1 to talk to someone about cancelling, I don't pay subscription for Amazon, I was told that it was £79 a month and that I needed to get a cancellation code and fill out a form to cancel!!! I hung up.

Claimed to be from Trojan Telecom and to be calling to reduce my company s telephone bill. Trojan does exist but I doubt if it knows anything about this call. I dialled 1471 and was given the above number followed by a "please hang up" message, suggesting the number may well be fictitious.
