A Manchester number, so thought is was someone I know. However it was an unpleasant person who identified themselves as being from a company called Motor Investigations. He wanted to talk about insurance. I asked him why he was calling and he was aggressive. I hung up. Definitely a scam of some sort.

Just been called by this number to inform me my emails are being used by someone in the usa and if I follow his instructions through my computer we can solve this together. Bloody nice chap! However I do know that once connected to your computer they can lock you out unless you make payments to them. SCAM me thinks. This call came about half an hour after the last, and was easily recognisable because of the usual crackling. I bellowed "Hello" loudly enough to burst the caller s eardrums, and that put an end to it. The number used by these criminals, who want me to allow them to infect my computer, was as fictitious as the previous one had been.

Had a call saying they had been passed my file about a traffic accident I d had in the last two years. I said "ok". He said "is that right?". I said "you tell me mate. It just sounds like you re fishing". The guy must have known I was on to him. He laughed and hung on me.

I just had a call from them & never picked it up. Assuming from all the comments on here, it sounds like it is Vodafone trying to get hold of the owner of all new phones to either check the service is ok or to check something else. Usual daily call - we don t answer and they just go "Hello? Hello?" to the answering machine. Can hear other people in the background doing the same thing. Boring and a waste of their time and ours.

I keep getting calls from this number which I never answer. I think that if you answer or reply to calls from these people they will know that the number is live, and not only will they keep hassling you, but they will also sell your number to other rogue companies.
