Please stop saying this is a scam, it is NOT A SCAM. This is Nationwide's genuine calling number. They call early in the morning and late at night in order to catch people outside of work hours. If you actually think it's a scam, you ask them for their employee ID and their name, then you call your bank on their normal customer service number and you confirm the person's details PLUS the phone number they called from. I called this number back and a young man answered, polite enough and answered my questions without any hassle. He said it was a PPI claim company in Manchester. When I asked why it came up as a Dundee (01382) number he said it's automatically routed to main base in Manchester. I've had 3 missed calls from them so did 141 on landline.
