Spam number calling about a car accident claim.
Just been contacted by this number,claimed to be from(cooperative energy)asking for an up to date reading of my meters.I normally supply them online at the beginning of the month(which is only 2 days away) I gave them the readings and then they asked if they were located inside or outdoors.They also asked if they were accessible to an engineer should they need to call???????? This has all the makings of a SCAM.I have notified my energy provider regarding this matter

Automated/Silent call. One of a series of calls from mobile numbers starting 077 in the space of a few days. Answered first call, where automated voice said "Your Amazon Prime membership has just been renewed at a cost of £79.99. If you want to cancel this payment, press 1". Discover Broadband called me on 07/08/2018 on 0161 768 5650 trying to get me to change from BT; When I asked where they got my name and number, she gave me some reply that as we are with BT they do a survey as a customer with our details; but didn t actually say where she got my details from. I would not give her my postcode or 1st line of address; I thought if she had name and number she could get that. She talked non-stop for 20 mins when I suggested for both our sake, she cut the call and ring me back
