Just been called by this number to inform me my emails are being used by someone in the usa and if I follow his instructions through my computer we can solve this together. Bloody nice chap! However I do know that once connected to your computer they can lock you out unless you make payments to them. SCAM me thinks. Recorded message from a woman with an American accent pretending to be calling from HMRC, telling us or our solicitors to call her back or face legal action if we ignore the call. The call was made from the phone number she was telling you to call back on.

Thanks to posts on here I can safely block this number... It might be genuine... still cold-calling, infringing on me & my time... and I don t need a hearing aid!

Silence. Said "hello" a couple of times. After ~10 seconds a recorded woman's voice said "goodbye" and the call terminated.

This is a market research company called GSKNOP. I had daily hang up calls from them then eventually spoke to a human who wanted to do a 20 min financial questionnaire but gave me the Market Research Society phone number so I said if they didn t take my name/number off their data base that I d report them to the MRS. I haven t heard from them since.

It is clear to me that the two LAHOREES Humaz Fiaz and Dildaar are part of the scam.. SURPRISE SURPRISE.

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

I have received six calls from this number today about my computer, 17th June 2015, poor English, couldn t make out much of what he was saying. Each time I put the phone down he called me back, had to take it off the hook. He said there was something wrong with my router, very persistant.
