I just had a call from them & never picked it up. Assuming from all the comments on here, it sounds like it is Vodafone trying to get hold of the owner of all new phones to either check the service is ok or to check something else. Got an unsolicited call from this number. Did not pick up the phone but dialled 1471 to find out the number that had called me. Turned out to be Solution Marketing of Nottingham so I have complained to the TPS with whom my landline is registered.

Called me on 29th June claiming to be O2. Told them I wasn t interested. Received a further call on 1st July.

Called yesterday 19Aug by a women with a very strong Asian accent. She wanted me to turn on my computer as BT had requested her to help me with my router, that was showing a fault, and she could talk me through the repair. I asked her to call back in half an hour as I was busy. I then checked the number that she had called on and it was not recognised. Contacted BT and they confirmed that this was a scam.that
