He then proceeded to try and get me to do the same on the phone BUT I preferred to do on the website for safety so declined. When I returned to finish the online forms it just redirected me to call them. I was so annoyed at manipulation I didn’t call them

Wanted my bank account details so they could stop the charge going through - how kind of them - but didn't know what bank ! Kept them on the line for a few minutes so one less person they can scam today before letting on that I knew they were scammers !
