SCAM / SPAM Missed the call, so called them back a minute later. Got a recorded message congratulating me on installing the Asterisk open source pbx, which is some kind of VOIP service for LINUX. Don't think my regular BT landline will know how that works...

Have had several calls from this number over last few days. Have just ignored it. No message left. Now added to my reject list. I never answer a call to a number I don t recognise. So many scams about.
Second call received from John at computer maintenance. First time when I told him that there wasn t a computer at this number he hung up, hoped this would deter further calls. But following day different time he phoned again told him that still didn t have computer and wanted to be taken off their database at which point he hung up. Waiting to see if they ring again.

Called saying I had been on an all inclusive holiday in the last few years. I ve never been on an all inclusive, and I only recently changed my mobile number. I asked where they got my number "we work with a number of third parties" was the only response I could get. Didn t even wait to find out what they wanted, asked to be removed from system and also blocked the number.

Automated voice said it was the office of national crime (or something to that effect) and that they'd have to suspend my national insurance number. Hung up at that point.
Automated call allegedly from the NCA claiming my NI number was used for illegal activity and it is now suspended. The message then asks to press 1 to speak to a case officer to prevent my assets being seized, etc.

It was an automated message saying that I had an outstanding balance and an arrest warrant was issued for my arrest and I should press 1 to speak to a representative about it.
