Called on Saturday morning by someone with an Indian asian accent tel no 0808 1450360. 02 Nov 2021 - An Indian guy rang my mobile from this number, knew my name. Two calls from this number in one day claiming to be Telephone Preference Services. Very persistent....think it s either a scam or trying to sell call blocking service.
They told me that they are from Boost Energy (I m not sure) and talked me about prepaid smart meter, cheap tariffs and other stuff. I ll call my supplier if I want change my current offer.

SCAM - Seems to be a call centre as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities.
