02 Nov 2021 - An Indian guy rang my mobile from this number, knew my name. I asked where he was calling from but couldn’t understand what he said, put him on loudspeaker and asked again and no one in my office could understand what he said? .Harassing Cold call . Trying to sell roof insulation. Do I buy from harassing cold callers??? Nope! Knew our name and address. Asked him where he got details - said from database but could not say what. Told him should at the minimum his company should be vetting against telephone preference service. Asked him to remove our details from his database to comply with current GDPR rules. Kept him talking for a good 10 minutes to stop him harassing others during that time

SCAM Give nothing away they are crooks, they are doing the scam rounds, Double Glazing, Energy, you name it they do it. Tell him or her that they are nasty self satisfying sexual deviants. You possibly know the right words, they may also not be of Uk Ethnic origin, so tell them what they are. Remember they cannot report you!

Someone pushing smart meters would actually know that 2G will soon be phased out, and 3G in due course, and there is little point in fitting 2G meters now. 2G meters will have to be replaced. They should also know who is paying to power the meter (not us!) and to understand and be able to provide a VPN for the connection and an RF filter for protection. (PS If offering a 4G meter, they should also know whether 4G cover is available at your location - if not then call their bluff!)
