I've had multiple calls from this number and each time I pick up they put down. I blocked the number but still it gets through??

Said we are Amazon. Very doubtful. Woman s voice, sounded recorded. I put there phone down, guess it was a scam.

Recorded message saying that they had urgent news about my PPI refund if I pressed 5.

Keep on ringing from numbers- vanquis. I dont have nothing to do with them n still they call coupple of times a day!

Big fraud company. needs to be reported. I was promised to get reduction in rates aand kept calling me to pay for work carried out to reduce my rates. I thought probably were genuine and paid £400. after few days got letter,says appeal has been unsuccessfull. I wish i had seen the reviews. This company needs to be reported to fraus office.

Female asking if I d had an all inclusive holiday in the past 2 years. When I told her I hadn t she rang off. Presumably this will be some sort of survey if you say you have had an all inclusive holiday.

Usual call asking if I had been in an accident. Ironically, I work for the Citizens Advice and this month we have been campaigning to make people Scam Aware. Number has been noted and complaint will be made.

Silent call

Called this morning just before 8.30 am. As the number was unrecognised it was allowed to go to the answering machine. The call was terminated almost immediately.

Missed the call, no voicemail left but cannot call it back, automated voice tells me the number is recognised. Consider suspicious.

When I answered and said hello they put the phone straight down? I find this a little childish

Weird. When I answered, a recorded message said that the caller is unable to take your call. I don t know if it is genuine or a scam but I have never had this happen before.

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

Constantly calls several times a day. Never leaves message on answer machine.

Sent me a text message a few days ago asking Miss XYZ to forward her documentation! I texted back to say they d got a wrong number but apparently their number doesn t recieve text messages, although it does seem to be able to send them!
