Received automated call after attempting to make a payment with my card which was refused. Automated voicemail left this number to call. This number is for the Fraud line call centre in Sunderland. I was wary at first about giving details and voiced this but service advisor said if worried not legit to call number on the back of my card and will be put through to them (not pressured into giving any security info at all). Called me claiming to be from Sky, informing me that malicious individuals are trying to hack my router. I played dumb and allowed them to get to the part where they wanted me to install TeamViewer to gain access to my computer. I gave them an earful about preying on vulnerable people, but it will have had zero effect; I just hope I cost them more money in call charges than they were expecting.

I received an automated call claiming to be from HMRC fraud and wanted me to go through a set of number keying. Obviously a scam when I checked the number in Google it came back to a bakers in Glasgow. it seems the callers are spoofing telephone numbers to use in the scam.
