I normally answer my phone with "Thank you for calling passport and identity service" and they soon put the phone down. 2 minutes later they rang me again. So I ans...
I didn't answer but they left a voicemail. It was an electronic voice which gave a string of numbers followed by "do not disregard this message as the matter at hand is time sensitive" then silence.

I didn't recognise the number so let it go to answer machine. they didn't leave a message, so I called them back and the number was answered and was silent? I presume it was a machine/automated call but not sure.

Asked for email address as I didn't have the time to speak, told them to send me an email as they seemed to have my info, but he could only confirm my name, so I hung up.
