I recieved a call from a company introducing themselves as Energy Helpline and stated that they were looking to help me out on my Home Phone and Broadband bills. They convinced me to switch to another provider and that I had to pay an amount upfront for an activation fee? Is this normal? Then they stated they had a power cut as soon as I gave those details and they then had to ring me back? Sounds suspicious if you ask me, it has been an hour now. What is happening???

Kept on getting calls to my landline from this number. The caller keeps on asking for a Mr Clark. I have informed them many times that this person does not live at this address and to stop calling me. Got the same call like everyone else. As a trained insurance expert with 25 years experience, I asked them for the date of the accident (having not had an accident in the last 10 years) but they didn t know. I asked which company they were calling from and they said they were calling as they were my insurers. I asked them the name of the insurers and they hung up. I am sick and tired of dealing with claims brought by ambulance chasers such as this. Compensation culture at its finest.
