Unsolicited call despite Call Protect

I received a call from this number just now. He said he was from a company called Technical Help Service and told me my computer had a virus. He tried to convince me using various methods including running the eventvwr (the errors listed there are not related to viruses!) This is identical to the well known Windows Technical Helpdesk scam. These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... Although there are only poll here, I feel disturbed and annoyed. The call again and speak nothing on the answering machine. Then, when someone talks to me and is not placed directly if one wants to conduct a survey.

Someone is using this number on my accounts

Tells me I have been identified has having and industrial injury and wants to act on my behalf. I have never had such an injury. The caller uses a Merthyr Tydfil dialling code but on interrogation turns out to be a call centre in Liverpool. I explain I am a member of TPS and don t wont to be cold called. Same call the next day!.
