Scam phone call saying they are going to cut off the internet. Hung up before they could finish which I regret as I didn t find out who they were going to pretend to be
PPI company, number showed up as based in Macclesfield. Never needed to look into PPI so they had no reason to call me. Just a company who has no doubt bought a list of data to harass people.
If you have free calls (eg free weekend and evening calls through BT) then phone them back (with 141 prefix) and tell them to check the TPS website before calling anyone. If they ask for your postcode, refuse to tell them. Also refuse to give your number, or any other information about yourself. Simply state over and over again that they are required to consult the TPS website before calling any number. If they talk over you just keep saying "Dont t talk over me, listen to me" until they stop, then tell

AMAZON. The usual one about Amazon Prime. Your acct will be auto renewed for £79+. I don't have it so it can't. Get these scam calls all the time. They want you to press "1" so gawd knows what that does - link you into an expensive Ling Distance call or something. Someone is determined to get money from you, I don't fully understand how but they wouldn't be in this for nothing! I fail to understand why the police or BT can't DO something about it!!!

Indian man, after giving an English name,says he is calling from BT Technical Dept.I know that there is no such Department within the BT organisation!!I said goodbye and put the phone down!! SCAM They ring pretending that they have been involved in installing insulation in your loft and that there's a potential problem with it that they need someone to visit. It is all lies. Energy efficiency and insulation is a good thing, but this company is definitely a scam. They seem to be making use of standard recorded messages in response to your responses too, to make it sound like it is a human on the other end.
