Melville consultants visited my company saying they could appeal and reduce our business rates. The person who visited was Peter John. He said they could put in an appeal, no charge, but if appeal accepted then they would charge to complete the appeal and send in a surveyor. After researching it turns out anybody can put an appeal it takes a few minutes -the whole thing is a complete scam avoid at all costs. Has kept calling me asking to speak to someone who I have no idea who is. When challenged on this said could I give them my details to update their records then they would never call again. When asked they said they were someone called "Benefits UK". Number is now blocked

Got several silent calls from this number. On the final one a woman asked for someone who lived here 3 years ago but obviously only had the surname as she asked for "mr or mrs" - there was no mr. She cut the call off when I said there was no-one here of that name. Have now reported the call to ICO and barred the number from calling me again.
