TAXES / HMRC An automated call from ‘HMRC’ from ‘Officer Denis grey’ prompting to call 0114 7002607 urgently. Otherwise “get ready, legal action will be taken” Dodgy call definitely fake and surely not HMRC LOL
SCAM. Probably from the same source as 1656737322, a call to my landline. The well spoken, but recorded voice, told me that two suspicious transactions had been noted on my account (no introduction as to who she represented) and that I should take one of two actions. Either press "1" to cancel them or "2" to speak to a service advisor. I left the call open for ten minutes but there was no further communication from the caller. Why Bridgend exchange? I have no idea.

Just received this call which said that I had installed something on my home phone number which was sounds or something. I put the phone down and did no more but this is not something I have requested and I think could be dangerous. If you have free calls (eg free weekend and evening calls through BT) then phone them back (with 141 prefix) and tell them to check the TPS website before calling anyone. If they ask for your postcode, refuse to tell them. Also refuse to give your number, or any other information about yourself. Simply state over and over again that they are required to consult the TPS website before calling any number. If they talk over you just keep saying "Dont t talk over me, listen to me" until they stop, then tell
