Two phone number associated with the same email address responded to a gumtree advert I have running. In addition to this number +44 114 359 9246 is being used (Aug 2017). Replying I received a paypal scam email wanting to pay asking price and arrange a pick up from a service.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported as a telemarketing - sometimes energy companies. Did someone answer any number of this range? Is there any reason why companies use line with shared costs for just ringing you and left no message (other than scam...)? If this was a silent call for you, do not call back for any reason! Probably I am wrong with this one but started
calls then hung up so rang bk its a recording sez i can opt out so i pressed the button to confirm n the next day i got another phone call same company same number but the last didget is different this app says it's blocked but the number still rings
