SCAM Very stern and meanacing sounding man who introduced himself as an 'officer' said my national insurance number (UK) had been suspended due to some repeat offences. He then invited me to speak to another 'officer' if I pressed '1'. I burst out laughing and ended the call. Remember no Government Department will call you in this way.

Ian from some unsolicited energy company telesales asking wanting to speak to the bill payer for the electricity supply. When told we were on the TPS register he kept himself on hold for a minute and said he had reported it to his manager. Well if they were a decent company they should be using the latest TPS register but obviously they are another scamming company flouting ALL the rules. SCAM / SPAM Phone call supposedly from BT stating that router had been hacked and asked to go to PC. When i asked for my BT account number the caller hung up.
Is bothered by tel nr 088-7751018. Looks like a young man with a Moroccan dialect and is said to be from KPN/Internet/Telephone provider with a new good offer - is quite aggressive and says you "have to" eavesdrop on a tape. KPN says that this person cannot be from KPN and labels this person as a fraudster / phishing. Advice: Do not call back and do not answer. You can number put in contacts of telephone with: "Fraudster, DO NOT PICK UP"!

She knew one of my email addresses, but not the one provided by BT. She gave daft or evasive answers to my questions. This number called - I picked up the phone but did not speak. After 5 seconds the call was ended. I searched for the number and found reference to it on funnumber.in which has been mentioned against other numbers on this site. I suspect the call was spoofing the number and would have been one of the standard microsoft/openreach scams if I had spoken to one of their operators.
