A scam call regarding the renewal of a non-existent Sky subscription. They hung up once I queried the account’s customer number.

Claimed to be Amazon, saying I’d bought a gift card for £49.99 and they wanted to check this was correct, and if it wasn’t did I want to cancel the order. I said it wasn’t me and I’d like to cancel (but was already suspicious - who buys a gift card for £49.99, rather than £50?!), then they started asking about which device I’d like the refund processed via. When I asked more questions about my concerns that this was a scam call they hung up.

Called today to say that they were calling regarding an accident my wife had in her car a while ago. Couldn t be true because she hasn t had one! The number was displayed as a local number which is why I answered it but the call didn t sound local.

Called saying id had a accident in the last few years?

Designed to look like a Coventry number, but silence then hung up when I answered, so undoubtedly a scam on a power dialler - beware!

The genuine holder is a Sainsbury s supermarket in Barnet, North London, according to Google.

This individual chose to ring my house number asking for a club. The number was a business number previously but we haven t had nuisance calls on this scale before. Just been called from this number - thought it was a real human at first, but then realised it was some sort of semi-automated system, pretending to interact with my replies. Claiming to be Injury Claim Law - they have an interesting website, which contains a number of spelling mistakes, so doubt they are anything other than a bunch of low life ambulance chasing chancers!
