I jsut had a call from a sweet man give me this whole spiel about Great Ormand Street Hospital. I know great hospital etc. In the end I didnt donate because i am not in the position to financially, otherwise he nearly had me there. Other threads on the net suggest that this was a hoax. I am not sure. People be aware..but don t forget to care!

Call from this number purporting to come from Microsoft who have detected that my computer has been hacked and wanting me to give them more details and let them into checking my computer to clean it.. All lies of course and I gave no information at all - and I suggest nobody ever should either.

I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!

Number called me and asked me to confirm personal details, which they clearly had. Asked me random questions regarding whether I owned a dog, how much I earned etc, but when I told him I wasn t going to continue to answer his questions and put the phone down, he immediately called back. A recorded message warned me that my bank account was to be charged to continue my membership of Amazon Prime after a free trial. I don't belong to Amazon Prime! I did not dial 1 as suggsted to speak to someone, particularly because although I do have an Amazon account my name was not given in the call. Phishing at best, access to my bank account possibly?

This number continually calls claiming to be Scottish Power, who want payment for a final bill. Every call quotes a different figure due. At no point can they tell you the address to which this scam is referring to, but the do try to get you to confirm your address to them. The become agitated and aggressive once they realise that you know it is a scam.

Was calling me today, said that i did a fraud so i should press 1 and attend till someone will answer.
Automated voice saying that I would be arrested for fraudulent activity to do with my national insurance number. They wanted me to press 1 to speak to an officer - I chose not to because I was concerned I would get charged. When the message ended, the call ended. Definitely Fraud/SCAM.
