SCAM FRAUD. I got a call from a 07 mobile number prior to this call. Both of them is an automated message saying a letter from HRM Revenue was sent to you but was returned. Legal action will be taken against you, press 1 to bla bla bla. I didn’t even bother to listen to the rest because there is no reason for HRM Revenue to contact me. A call from this number (unaswered) was received late at night by a phone that has been hacked two weeks ago and the service provider seems not to have been able to put the account out of reach of the criminal, despite a great deal of correspondence with them. Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc. I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues. Caller said name was Mick from Petronagroup. Called from London 02080973588. Tried to get me to download Anydesk App (giving them remote access). I said no to that! My opinion DON'T GET INVOLVED WITH PETRONAGROUP - they lost my money (£250 and were forever asking for more funds to invest). Then they closed my account so that I could no longer Log in. I have been arguing with Fabio, Martin at Petronagroup via WhatsApp for refund and believe this a scam that I will now report to ActionFraud.

After looking into this more, turns out this number is linked to what is known as a locksmith scam. They will over charge and drill out your lock and damage your door instead of just lockpicking it. They are not on the MLA Approved Locksmiths. Although, if you are happy of being overcharged as hell, I am a victim of this scam, but they did come out within 15 minutes, gotta give them that.

Fraud Claimed she was the techincal dept of Virgin Media and that she could see that my internet connection was fluctuating and that she could restart my router to get a better connection. I told her she had called a business and which point she hung up.

SCAM Called to offer an iPhone deal and when challenged reduced price by a third and then when I told them what I was paying reduced price to less than a third of the original price including a new phone and air time etc. Too good to be true or just a scam. Caller became abusive when told I didn't trust him
