Answered the first 2 calls from this number to hear an Asian sounding voice - in the first instance telling me I had a Windows problem and the second time telling me I had a BT line problem. As I was aware of this scam, in both instances I told them to "get lost" and hung up. Since then they have been ringing me several times a day but since I have caller identity I ignore it. This is plain harassment.

This is a scam - they claim to be HMRC (although he pronounced it HRMC!) and are asking for student tax to be paid. I told them that I am 16 and not working and therefore not eligible for tax. He - an Indian sub continent accented person - insisted I have to pay it until I informed him that I actually work for HMRC and this is a scam. He admitted it was and rang off. NOTE: I don't work for HMRC and I am not 16. BEWARE!!!!

I believe this is Scottish power though they don t give me time to pick up orleave a message. I am with SSE but not sure if its a genuine call or not for me. Not going to ring the number as it will cost me and I think if it was genuine why not leave a message. Its a bloody nuisance and downright rude.
After receiving multiple calls from their dallier system and them not actually speaking when connecting I did a little digging - Call 41 and request removal of your number.

Dont be fooled to press 1. Remember any such correspondence from HMRC would be given via written notice to your home address first, with several warnings. NOT via one single threatening call demanding 'if you dont press 1 now you risk going to prison!'
