They say they can dramatically reduce business rates and make all sorts of claims and promises then you get a contract that is nothing like what they promise on the phone and you will be left with a bill to pay of around £500 and no proof that they misled you. Why doesn t anyone do something about these calls? They really do annoy a lot of people and I am sure someone somewhere can stop these scammers. Why should we allow this to happen with the technology we have today? They are out to commit fraud and they should be stopped. So let us all get together and do something and just go along with whatever they ask but give them a lot of lies. JUst give them a false name and keep them on the line for as long as you can. Caller purporting to be HMRC and threat of Criminal Prosecution and arrest if I don't contact an Revenue Officer WILSON- SCAM known to be in place to have you call a premium number and incur charges
Caller identified herself as TalkTalk. Poor line and Indian accent sounded as overseas. Asked for personal details, when I queried this she hung up.
Keep calling me and when you answer you get 3 beeps and then they ve hung up. If you call them back you get 3 beeps then nothing. Getting calls twice a day at least from them now. it is real harassment, stalking etc. Someone should lock this lot up.
Automated call Although not in my address book, number came up on my phone as being from Eastern Avenue Baptist Church and showed the address of 119 East Raod, Dagenham, Romford RM6 6YJ Automated message said I was being investigated and if I did not make contact with one of their officers, my National Insurance number would be withdrawn and then asked me to press 1 to speak to someone. Felt suspect.

Its CVD as others mentioned. Even after cancellation they will call you to death. The reason we changed insurers was because of their aggressive style and over the top prices. Try moneysupermarket van and you will be truly shocked!

This number is a company called Natural Essentials. They flog over-priced vitamins and supplements to vulnerable elderly people. They are really persistent. When they come up against call blockers, they instantly re-dial with alternative numbers. Just recently they are even switching to international numbers in an effort to bypass. Associated numbers are 08000148950, 08000148960, 02034567894, 02034535242, 02034535243, 02034535244, 02034535245, 02034535246, 02034535247, 02034535248. Block them all!

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

They said they were from Visa reporting unusual activity on my card. One such item was for a £1000 money transfer. Asked if I wanted to cancel this transaction on saying yes, I was asked to open my computer. I did not. I hung up.

don t get a quote online from admiral and give them your telephone number, even though it says on the site you can opt out of marketing calls, if you do opt out they still call you pushing other products, blocked on my phone for being annoying and untrustworthy luckily i didn t insure with them if thats the way they use your information.
