The PEST is: Domestic & General :( They are a cold-calling pest phishing for new Loft Insulation contracts. I have automated calls on a daily basis for 2 months now - 3 rings and they hang up - never leaving a message. I wish the government would provide the regulators with some teeth to prosecute all these highly persistent phone pests making MULTIPLE nuisance calls. I changed my number relatively recently to avoid this, and I m ex-directory and I ve "opted out" so they should check before they call.

This number rang me saying I had been in an accident last year and my number was on the accident database. The guy called Jason then said there was an unclaimed payment due to me from the otherside s insurance company. I ve had no accident and no one owes me any money. I hate these calls!!!

Woman phoned me and put me straight through to colleague after saying hello not even telling me who they was. Then the new guy answered and said I had come through to him as I was looking for compensation. he then proceeded to tell me I had rejected a payout offer from my recent car accident and he was part of the team to make sure I get compensation, I fell straight into the trap and gave him a fair few details he then sent an email asking for an E signature. One of those you have had an road traffic accident that is not your fault. I asked were they got my details and they said "road accidents and safety statistics", I then said "surely that data is anonymised", at they she said OK and put the phone down.

Said I have your file and used my first name. About the accident you had. Sorry over 30 years no claims don`t think so. Frightening being called by first name and its a scam. Threated them with a bigger accident and they hung up.

Says he is calling from justrunout.co.uk in Luton but his number is from Basildon and their only office is in Billericay. Completely fake.

Pretends to be BT going to cur you off

Called at 2 am. Rang it back no answer. Now blocked.

The called me today, found it difficult to make out what they were saying but it was something to do with a purchase, It came up potential fraud so I blocked it

The calls from this number take place at very different times. In a recall, the number is always busy.

Asian sounding girl Called from Burnley something about cover for my TV, said TV covered with currys, she hung up.

Just had the same, went to answer but rang off... not going to ring back...

Missed this call and when I returned the call it came up as unrecognised

Scam Claims

I got called by this number earlier today. In my case even though it was unsolicited, it was a welcomed call from Carphone Warehouse. I had an issue with their website and the resolved it for me.

I got a text message about my ad on gumtree asking if my pushchair was still for sale .and what s the final price and to email them . After reading this I have realised it s a scam let s see what they reply to my email address . Copy of text Hello,is your pram on gumtree still up for sale ? what is the final asking price? please email me ([email?protected])

A computerized voice telling me my 'BT internet has been compromised and I should press 1 or 2 for another provider'.
