They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls.
2nd call from this number. they hang up when you answer. Caller needs to get a life away away from phones.

Told me he knew me and said I needed new loft insulation when I questioned him about this statement and told him I had not long ago replaced it he replied "replaced what!" I repeated loft insulation and he said some profanity and slammed the phone down on me...stay awawy from this one is my advice!

an Indian man said that he works for HMRC civil appeal and that I have an ongoing case with the court, he then proceeded to ask for my name and postcode in order to find my file, so I gave him a fake made-up name & my current postcode, without even asking for my house number he said yes sir I found your file. he will try to play with your mind and ask you to go to their gov website and spell their phone number for him, then in someway he will merge a call and call you from the gov number to fool you

SCAM - initial recording warned my electric was going to be shut off in a few minutes. When I transferred to a "representative" it was what sounded like an Indian man. He asked my name and verified my address. Funny thing is, my electric bill is in a family members name. Fraud Had text claiming to be be from Starling Bank - text came through on same message thread as previous verification code so I thought it was genuine. Text advised suspicious activity in my account for which they would be contacting by phone (which they did the next day) They already had lots of my identifying info and put me through other checks. They’d cleared thousands out of my account by the time I’d called Starling bank a few hours later.

This is a scam, claim to be calling from EE Promotions. Tried selling me a Iphone 15 Pro so somehow there have a phone which is not even been made yet. Didn't even ask who I was. Do not give them any information. EE provides a list of numbers on there website where there will call you from, this is not on that list.

I was called from these numbers 07874409775, 0787440321 and 07874400818 today 27 Feb'23. A man with a thick Russian accent claiming to be from FCA Cyber Security and asking for details of who I am (Phishing exercise?) in order to return money lost in a crypto scam last last year. The fact is crypto losses cannot be recovered, that was the whole point of it's security, it is tamper proof, so beware.

"Megan" from "Nationwide Fire Safety" claimed that we had a quote last year (2021) for inspection of 5 fire extinguishers for 89+vat but that has expired, but she can offer us 67+vat for 5 and 5+vat for each new one for an inspection on the 24th of October at our Ashford, Kent address. We have never had fire extinguishers, we moved from Kent over 8 years ago and have never received a quote from this company (which doesn't actually seem to exist!).
