When called there is an American voice recorded message "Your call is very important to us. Please stay on the line & you will be transferred to next available agent..." It then plays music while caller holds. Long wait times, if you get connected to the agent. This seems to be a growing trend with different numbers continually changing. Potential fraud or scam.

Called by this number today. Automated voice saying from BT and that our internet connection would be cut off today. To contact BT press 1 or to disconnect your internet press 2. This is undoubtedly a SCAM!! DO NOT PRESS EITHER NUMBER JUST HANG UP.

SCAM They sent a text saying that they are from HSBC and that a new payee had been added to my account. Total scam.
On second reading - definitely - it is one digit short to be a genuine UK number.
SCAM- Claimed to be a tax refund. If you click the link in the text, the site does appear to be GOV.uk website, built exactly like it but the other links on the page don’t take you anywhere, therefore they are just after your card details, be careful.

This number 01133100118 which shows as Leeds rang me & offered to beat my network provider by 30% without knowing who i was with, 5 minutes later the same man (john) rang me again with the same offer, this time the number 01143560006 came up as Sheffield. Leeds to Sheffield in less than 5 minutes is pretty fast so i think these numbers are being spoofed from a computer.
