I am always frustrated when I receive cold calls as I am TPS registered. when I asked if he would mind telling me where he got the number from, he replied the national database...can I take it you re not interested then? And hung up without so much as an apology. Having invited himself into my home, I find the attitude to be extremely rude.
I say a scam but can be fraud as well, asked that they can clear my debts but had to give my bank details and national insurance number. Am not stupid enough to tell them, plus I don't have debts

I called the number from a landline and got no response so googled the problem on line and came up with these responses. So very worrying as I knew nothing was amiss. Please stop saying this is a scam, it is NOT A SCAM. This is Nationwide's genuine calling number. They call early in the morning and late at night in order to catch people outside of work hours. If you actually think it's a scam, you ask them for their employee ID and their name, then you call your bank on their normal customer service number and you confirm the person's details PLUS the phone number they called from.
