Had 11 calls yesterday and so far 6 today most calls are silent or just beep and the say goodbye. 1 of the calls I had there was somebody at the other end who said they were from the TPS and wanted to know if I was still getting unwanted calls and I asked what like this one and put phone down but they still persist in phoning sometimes 3 times in the space of 20 minutes

The person could hardly speak English and I have no idea what the call was about.
SCAM / SPAM Dangerous Broadband SCAM. Indian company that tries to gain access to your computer by telling you that you have problems with your broadband and they cand fix it.
I get this call sometimes 5 times a week, morning 9.30 and 1.00. Do not respond to anyone who calls you, that you do not know... There are plenty of scammers about.
I ve always had a very succinct answer to these types of calls. I do answer them, but when I actually start speaking to an op, I either spout copious amounts of four letter words or speak back to them in whatever accent they have, telling them I can t understand them and can they please speak English

SCAMMER: Indian, female voice said that there had been illegal activity on my internet line. Said she was from BT and that somebody had conducted illegal activity and it was recorded on their server. Played a long for a little while then let the scamming witch know what she is.

Female caller from Energy Assessors UK (?) regarding energy efficiency in the home. I replied that our number is ex directory and TPS registered, so they shouldn t be calling us. This number also rang a few days ago, and I blocked it, but it still got through this time. Blocked again.
Never call unknown numbers back as you may be calling a Premium Rate or International number masked by a spoofed UK number which will be a very expensive call. NEVER give any...
