My local police community support officer said these stickers have been used by criminals and recommended finding a locksmith through a telephone directory or online. Never call the number on a sticker that has been afixed to your doorbell without permission. If in doubt, contact your local police.

Female caller with an Asian accent rang from this number twice today. Said she was from Benefits UK. I asked who Benefits UK is, and she replied "A company", and wanted to ask me some questions, which would only take a couple of minutes. I replied that I do not answer questions over the phone, and she hung up. A couple of hours later, the number rang again, and my daughter answered. She told the caller that our number is ex directory and that we are TPS registered. Again, the caller hung up.

Apparently the TPS web server is down, so they had to contact me by phone and not email. This is the 2nd similar call today. My TPS registration will expire tomorrow. Do not believe them, as TPS *never* phone customers!!

This company calls multiple times during the day up to 9pm :( When you answer the call all I get is background static....

Very aggressive attempt to interest me in IVA arrangements. They say they are calling everyone over 18. I said that must be about 40 million people, and how do they know I m over 18. Called as I had gone over my limit on my card. They did hang up the first time they tried calling me which was annoying to which the adviser informed me that they are having issues with the auto dialler system. I believe Aqua credit also use a similar number.

I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!
