Scam from asian sounding male suposedly working for Virgin Media and claiming that my router was faulty. After getting me to jump through some hoops, told me that I would be getting a new router and £204.56 in compensation. He asked "Are you disabled",replied "what a thing to ask"! said "I m in a meeting, not free at the moment" "What meeting". With that I got fed up with playing along and rang off.

Barclaycard Fraud prevention. Its an automated line (At least it was for me) Their system will ask you to confirm your name, as well as your date of birth. Then it will list some recent transactions that their system has flagged as possibly fraudulent. All you then need to do is press 1 to confirm the transactions as your own/authorised by you, or 2 to decline. For me i just had to press 1. For others it may be a matter of pressing 2 and then you may actually have to talk to someone. I cant say for sure.

SCAM Automated message telling me it was HMRC and there was a fraud case against me, that I must press 1 immediately otherwise I would be arrested shortly. I assume pressing 1 would have taken me through to a high charge phone number or something similar. Very unsettling, and could easily catch the less savvy off guard.
An Ideal World connection buy from them and you get pestered to death by this number ringing, used to it so just ignore it but they keep trying.
Very much as described by grey-matters - asked for home owner and when I acted a bit simple she hung up.
