Assuming from all the comments on here, it sounds like it is Vodafone trying to get hold of the owner of all new phones to either check the service is ok or to check something else. Asked where she received the information from but was transferred to Soloman. He in turn hung up when I said i d like copies of the information that he stated was supplied. Called me awhile ago and I told them to do one so they contacted my elderly mother direct she is terrible memory problems the start of onset dementia they reduced her to tears threatening if she doesn?t pay now she?ll occur further bank charges I?m so so angry I had to rush to my mums and done 1471 when I tried to call it back it won?t connect. Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.
