Alleged call from HMRC with automated male voice telling me to press 1 to avoid being arrested for fraud. Absolutely sure it is some new scam attempt to get money from scared people - it sounded quite threatening!

Caller said there was a problem with my computer. Asked him if he was same person making a similar call from a withheld number earlier today who used foul abusive language when I asked if he had heard of the telephone preference service. This time the caller rang off immediately.
They claimed to be from Credit Check Investigation Services and wanted to know details of any debts I had. Suspicious.
SCAM Pretended it was a bank of cyprus representative and attempted to extract information. Indian/Pakistani accent. Spoke in English.

This is a scam number the called my uncle pretending to be from Amazon saying that they had taken £95 from his account by accident and if he gave them his details they would refund the money. He is an elderly gentleman and went straight to the police as he doesn’t have Amazon prime, the police called the number but it doesn’t accept incoming calls surprise surprise. SCAMMERS

A number of calls asking for Head of finance by name, won t say why, very abrupt/abrasive manner - I give them our head office number (which will take them ages to get through!)
Called saying i had two transactions against my visa card they believed were suspicious. One from amazon for a small amount and another for someone else for over 1k. asked me to press some buttons to agree or query these transactions, not a chance thanks.

This is a scam number, and probably all numbers 023821464**. Asian sounding voice said he was from "Amazon Fraud Department" and that my account had been compromised (I don't have an Amazon account). He quoted, correctly both my mobile number and my house phone number. Told me that the account would be frozen. I think they tried calling last week, then again today to my unlisted mobile phone number (11th Nov). I answered, saying my name; there was a pause then an unintelligible garble for a few seconds and then they put the phone down! As such I wouldn t trust any organisation who behaves as rudely as that...

They have been ringing me for weeks and managed to ignore the number when it came up. They rang 7times on my landline yesterday. 3 times in the space of half an hour. My husband then answered it last night and woman said something about a survey and him getting voucher for petrol. i shouted him to hang up the phone...which he did. They haven t called back. I am now investing in a phone with call guard because I am absolutely SICK of being harassed by this number and similar annoying sales calls.

I thought it might be a US colleague as it came up US call so called back and it goes straight to redial so something dogey I suspect. They then called back and I answered and its a voicemail saying "you were recently in an automobile accident and yet to claim"
