I just had a call from them & never picked it up. Assuming from all the comments on here, it sounds like it is Vodafone trying to get hold of the owner of all new phones to either check the service is ok or to check something else. SCAM she says she was from Amazon security and that a mobile phone had been purchased on my husband's account, she said they'd sent an email, he was on Amazon at the time so I told him to check his order's and no phone had been purchased, he disconnected the call, later she sent an email with a link to click, I deleted the email.
The person could hardly speak English and I have no idea what the call was about.

Fraud - claimed to be NHS track & trace. I asked the lady where she was calling from. She said Edinburgh. So I asked her to name the 3 bridges crossing the Firth of Forth. She said "North bridge, South bridge and I don't know". Really, that was her answer! Ha ha ha.

Indian man rang me at about 10:30am 26/7/2021 saying that they'd just been upgrading my Broadband and noticed spam being sent to me and hacker activity. Wanted me to turn on my computer. I put the phone down. Have fallen for one of these scams before with someone getting me to download AnyDesk in order for the caller to remotely take over control of my laptop. BEWARE!!
