I phoned the number back& it was answered by a female with a Liverpudlian accent, who repeatedly mumbled the company name,but I eventually got it out of her. Just had a call from them offering financial services and asking for my credit card number. I hung up on them and 2 minutes later I got a call again but this time from withheld number.

Jimmy (Indian) called from Utility Hub to say that, because I hadn't made any callouts from my (non-existent) cover for a lot of things, I was entitled to a discount on my (non-existent) direct debit. He then passed me to Emma (again Indian) who, when I said that I couldn't trace Utility Hub , told me to see Heating and Home), whose website looks quite genuine. I listened patiently until she asked me to confirm my sort code, when I told her that she wouldn't get any bank details.
This number keeps calling but then hangs up after about 10 seconds without speaking. Calling back gets music. Happens 5 times a day.

SCAM - Seems to be a call centre as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities.
