Have several of these calls a week not sure but think they mightbe from vanquis.i do not answer them
Had a phone call from them and they seemed to know some of my personal details (well, as far as my phone number, name and 1st line of my address). I asked them who they were and got the response AAC and nothing more than that. The guy was very evasive and when I asked what the call was regarding was just told it was "sensitive information". I told him he had the wrong number and I hung up. I was involved in a car accident about a year ago so they may well have been ringing about that.

fake compensation offer after road traffic accident. I think this is advanced fee fraud. They aren t a reputable outfit because they fail to terminate the call when subjected to ridicule and abuse - they respond in kind.

Fraud, Saying they where from DWP. First started out as an automated call with a synthetic voice saying I have committed fraud and my national insurance number has been suspended... Yikes They did not know me, they asked for my name. This is a bot calling random numbers in order to hoaks innocent people. The call is forwarded to a person who askes for your name. DO NOT TELL THEM ANYTHING.

I ve received a call on my mobile phone today from 0161 939 0236 telling me that I ve had a loan and I m entitled to a refund plus interest because I was mis sold the loan. In the first place neither my husband or myself have had a loan from our bank or on any credit card. The caller went on to name all the credit cards that I could own and from any bank (naming banks) that I may have had a card or loan from. Answered the mobile, as was expecting a call from a friend on a new number. Got an automated male voice, telling me it was from the national crime agency…..that was enough for me.
