They called again, I know it s Consumer Lifestyles as I have the number logged in my phone as "Consumer Lifestyles Scammer" As it s Christmas I thought I d have a chat with the Asian lady. This is a computer scam. I played along in order to waste their time and to get insight into their methods. There is a warm-up act and a main act to follow. Their first tactic is to say they will cut off your computer unless you cooperate. They take you to Event Viewer administrative events in order to show you a scary page with yellow warning triangles and red error messages. Then to another caller for their main strike. They have a complete spurious way of showing your apparent computer |ID which they can

This number 01133100118 which shows as Leeds rang me & offered to beat my network provider by 30% without knowing who i was with, 5 minutes later the same man (john) rang me again with the same offer, this time the number 01143560006 came up as Sheffield. Leeds to Sheffield in less than 5 minutes is pretty fast so i think these numbers are being spoofed from a computer.
