I have recently received a call from "HMRC". The computer informed me that a tax fraud case had been opened up in my name. I was then passed through to an operator who refused to provide any credentials and seemed to get rather aggressive.
Got a call from this number at 13:00 today. No message left when my answerphone kicked in. Tried a call-back, as it is a relatively local Hull exchange number but guess what - The number is unrecognised. Yet another telepest. Number now barred on my system.

Been getting dozens of these calls since I visited uswitch.com three weeks ago. Whenever I register with one of those sites I always am careful to tick, or untick, any boxes that instruct them NOT to contact me. Haven t received any emails so somebody is selling my details on, or they are just B4stards!

Called again about ten minutes ago confronted them about this and they were very aggressive towards me said there company is professional and wouldn t do such things. Just been contacted by this number,claimed to be from(cooperative energy)asking for an up to date reading of my meters.I normally supply them online at the beginning of the month(which is only 2 days away) I gave them the readings and then they asked if they were located inside or outdoors.They also asked if they were accessible to an engineer should they need to call???????? This has all the makings of a SCAM.I have notified my energy provider regarding this matter
