This call was a follow-up call from the Met Police after I reported a theft via their 101 non-emergency number. They repeated to me details from my 101 call, so I have no doubt it was the police. I imagine its unknown etc as it comes through their switchboard, I get the same when the wife rings me from work phone.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. ANNOYING ACCIDENT CLAIMS (AMBULANCE CHASERS)

Similar to others. I received an unsolicited and illegal call asked if I was having nuisance calls. I asked, "Apart from this one?". He did not understand, and repeated his query. I gave same response. He still did not understand and asked again. I repeated my response. There was a long pause as his brain cell woke up and then he hung up. Trouble is, BT want you to pay to stop calls like this, when someone should be taking them to task, especially as we have the evidence.
