Received automated call after attempting to make a payment with my card which was refused. Automated voicemail left this number to call. This number is for the Fraud line call centre in Sunderland. I was wary at first about giving details and voiced this but service advisor said if worried not legit to call number on the back of my card and will be put through to them (not pressured into giving any security info at all). the caller said she is from 1 & 1. But I told her, we have no issue with our account. I said email me whatever she wanted to say. She said she had no email address. Do not give any info. I m with 1&1 for many years and they always email me regarding my account.

Got this call today so looked it up on this site. One thing though - if it s clear pretty quickly that it s a cold caller that you don t want to speak to, just say "no" and put the phone down. No need for a polite conversation. No need for "no thank you very much". Just put the phone down. They are being extremely rude by intruding into your day so you allowed to be rude back by just hanging up straight away. Much easier for you.

i answered this number and the caller said he was from orange calling about my upgrade, I put him off and he called twice more. I talked about my upgrade, he new all my details and gave his opinion on suitable mobiles for me - even advising on my usage and a better phone for me because of it. I contacted orange the day after and they had no record of my call, upgrade or anything about this ? a waste of time and effort if this was a crank call, not sure of the purpose for the scammer but will be checking m

I got a call from this number. They told me that I was invlolved in some accident 2.5 years ago, but I was never involved in any accident as I don't have even a bicycle.

Came up as a local number (01947) but it was from a call centre. All numbers round here start with a 6 or an 8. and there are no call centres in this rural area.

Claim to be BT openreach, they are not. BT have been informed they are impersonating them. They want you to turn on your computer so they can protect you from hackers!! SCAM

claim I completed an online survey (I haven t) trying to get me to sign up for PPI or accident claims and compensation, told them I m not interested and on TPS register. Requested them to remove me from their calling list (doubt they will as they are VERY persistant)
