I answered, a man was on the other end, claimed to be a part of a pension plan scheme, I never paid to on, opted for one, nor did my previous employer contributed to one on my behalf, told the man this in answer to his questions, he thanked me for my time and said bye. HMRC Tax Scam. I had time to spare so led them a merry dance. They claim to be HMRC and that there's historical errors in your income tax, and that HMRC have had an arrest warrant issued! I acted innocent, and after wasting about 30 mins of their time, it eventually got around to asking me to buy Google Play cards to the value of the amount supposedly owed. At that point (having given them false personal info), I finally said I wasn't fooled and they hung up. At least I wasted their time!

Very suspicious callers. Claiming to be a Pensions firm asking for personal details including even your Nat Ins number which I did not divulge to them. Their response was to say "we cannot proceed any further without this". They do have English accents. My suspicions are confirmed when I try to call back on this number - phone just goes dead. If these people are not scammers - they do a very good impression of scammers.
