this number showed up at work, noted. refund bank charges, which I am sure my bank would have informed me! asking for your bank name and number, he was rude, and said UK Finance Dept, UK Government are refunding. Its a SCAM and hung up. Just waiting for him to call me again, and I will be rude too.

It said I wouldn’t be able to use my national insurance number if I didn’t press 1 and talk to the officer. Didn’t mention my name if any details, and hung up after 30 seconds. This number has been calling most days for over a week, sometimes several times. I was able to pick up once but there was apparently no one there.

SCAM - The person contacts in order to buy things sold online. They ask for your IBAN number, the name of your bank, your address and then they sent a fake email saying that they have transferred money to your account. You just have to send the item and email the receipt to the provided email address and then your money will be transferred. Don't fall for the trick.
